We charge through the front, like ravaged wolves hunting for their prey.
Our sharp swords will show no mercy as we cut down the opposition.
Cold our eyes, as we stare at the bloody dirt road before us.
Nothing but puppets to those whom orders us;
We do our jobs as we are told without a second thought.
We know nothing else of life;
But, what we see behind the sharp blade that shines against the pale light.

This is something I came up with about the Shinsengumi of Pre-Meiji Japan. It just popped into my head. I did a book review of 'Shinsengumi: The Shogun's Last Samurai Corp' for my China and Japan studies class and therefore, learned a great deal about them. Hope you all like it. ^_^
